2022 marks the beginning of our partnership with the Montreux Jazz Festival. As a Global Partner, in addition to the internationally acclaimed festival, we are also committed to a digital format as well as projects of the Montreux Jazz Artists Foundation that support emerging international talent.
Attracting greats such as Bob Dylan, Miles Davis and Nina Simone since its launch in 1967, the Montreux Jazz Festival has developed into one of the world’s largest and most prestigious international music events and enjoys a unique reputation. Today, the main festival, which is held on the banks of Lake Geneva for 16 days in July, attracts up to 250,000 visitors and features around 380 concerts by established musicians and newcomers performing jazz, soul, blues, pop, rock, and other genres.
Julius Baer’s Global Partnership is, however, not limited to the Swiss summer festival, but extends to ‘MJF Spotlight’, a digital brand by Montreux Media Ventures and ‘MJF Residency’ by the Montreux Jazz Artists Foundation. As a Global Partner, in addition, we are also committed to licensed festivals such as the Rio Montreux Jazz Festival and Montreux Jazz Festival China.
Julius Baer’s commitment to culture and innovation
Supporting art and music has been integral to Julius Baer’s philosophy for decades, and we are therefore delighted to be partnering with the renowned Montreux Jazz Festival. It is one of the most important international music events in Switzerland and attracts festival-goers and musicians of all generations from around the world. This iconic event combines lasting success with foresight and innovation – values that, as a Swiss private bank, we share. Our partnership with the Montreux Jazz Festival is part of our commitment to foster innovation for a better future in the communities in which we live and work, because we are convinced that how we invest today is how we live tomorrow.
