Lugano / Zurich, 11 September 2023 – Bank Julius Baer announces a further expansion of its Italy & Ticino market coverage. As of 1 September, Riccardo Corzani has been appointed as Head of a new Group and as new Market Head Italy, reporting to Ettore Bonsignore, Sub Region Head Italy & Ticino.
Riccardo Corzani joined Julius Baer from Credit Suisse, where he spent 7 years. Since 2019 he covered the role of Head Italy International & Monaco in the international wealth management division. Prior to that, he spent nine years at UBS covering the Turkish and Italian markets in Zurich and Lugano. He started his career at Commerzbank in London and Milan and later worked at Banca Aletti in the Investment Banking division. Riccardo holds a degree in Finance and Economics from the University of Florence and a Master in Wealth Management from the University of Bern and Rochester.
Riccardo joined with two teams reporting to him, one in Lugano and one in Zurich. Matteo Chiappara started as Head of a new team in Lugano and Nicola Ballabio as Head of the Zurich-based team. Several relationship managers will join the two teams.
